SPRINGDALE, Ark. – United Federal Credit Union (United) donated $2,500 to the American Red Cross to help relief efforts following damage from a tornado and strong storms in northwest Arkansas in late March.

“After seeing the damage left behind in our community following the tornado and storms in late March, United knew we needed to help in any way we could,” said Stephanie Riffle, Regional Vice President. “Our partners at the Red Cross stepped up as soon as the storms cleared to start helping our neighbors. We are proud to once again be able to work with them to make northwest Arkansas a great place to live and continue to live United’s philosophy of ‘people helping people’ and take care of our community in times of need.”

An EF-3 tornado hit northwest Arkansas in the early morning hours of March 30, 2022. Springdale was the hardest hit area.

“We want to thank United for supporting the mission of the American Red Cross, to provide help and hope to those in need,” said Wes Smith, American Red Cross of Southern Missouri board member. “We are able to carry out our mission through the generosity of supporters like United.”
