NAPERVILLE – May 19, 2022 – DuPage Credit Union has partnered with the DuPage Regional Office of Education and Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet for the ninth consecutive year to raise funds for DuPage County students in need through its annual We’ve Got Your Back fundraiser.
The Credit Union hopes to raise $10,000 this year and provide hundreds of local students the supplies they need to start the 2022-2023 school year. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be used to purchase backpacks and basic supplies needed throughout the school year.
Since its inception, the We’ve Got Your Back fundraiser has raised nearly $107,000 and provided over 7,000 backpacks and supply kits to DuPage County students in need.
“The cost of basic necessities is on the rise, and our goal is to help relieve some of the financial stress associated with preparing for the new school year,” said Amy Brandt, Senior Vice President of Digital, Payment and Learning Transformation.
Monetary donations will be accepted through July 31 and can be made online at dupagecu.com/backpacks or at a Branch Office: Downers Grove, 725 Ogden Ave.; Naperville, 790 Royal St. George Dr.; and Wheaton, 625 E. Roosevelt Rd.
Backpacks, stuffed with supply kits, will be handed out to DuPage County students in need who attend Catholic Charities’ DuPage County Back to School Fair on August 10 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road, Wheaton.
