Milton, NY – TCT Federal Credit Union has awarded $9,000 in college scholarships to 10 high school seniors to help finance their college education.
The students, members of TCT FCU, were chosen based on their outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements.
“We are very pleased to award these scholarships to our hard-working young members,” said Jeannie Dickinson. “It proves that the ‘people helping people’ philosophy of the credit union movement is alive and well here in our communities.”
The high school seniors who received the awards were: Lauren Chuhta, JadaLynn LeBarron, and Dillon Hughes of Cambridge, Anita Preuss, Natalie DeJohn and Allyson Eicher of Queensbury, Katie Lindsay and Hanna DeLoriea of Fort Edward, Madigan Carner of Greenwich and Autumn Fleming of Salem, NY.
TCT has organized an awards presentation date for the recipients and their families to attend in early June.
TCT was founded in 1959 by educators in Cambridge, NY. Born out of the desire for teachers to join each other to live better lives, we honor that legacy by strengthening our community through financial services and education.
Credit unions are not-for-profit cooperatives with no outside stockholders, so earnings are returned to members in the form of dividends on savings, favorable loan rates, fewer fees and additional services. All member accounts are insured through the Federal government up to $250,000.
