On Thursday, April 28, during its annual meeting, Arsenal Credit Union (St. Louis, Mo.) awarded five graduating high school seniors $1,500 scholarships each. This year, the credit union increased the number of students who won awards and upped the total prize money from $5,400 to $7,500.

Students were judged on criteria such as an essay, community involvement, extracurricular activities, GPA and honors/awards. New to the judging criteria this year was a Demonstrated Leadership category and changing the essay question to, “If you were given $1 million, what would you do with it and why?”
