Pittsburgh, PA, May 6, 2022…(clearviewfcu.org) Clearview Federal Credit Union’s vision is “Helping People to Enjoy a Better Life,” this vision is strengthened further with a new partnership with The ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter to support its ALS Allies program. Clearview will serve as the program sponsor and match donations up to $2,500 during May to recognize ALS Awareness month.

This program is a monthly giving program for those passionate about sustaining the critical work produced by The ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter. Monthly giving provides sustainable support for the Chapter and consistency for ALS families. When the Chapter has a reliable and steady revenue source like the ALS Allies program, it is better set up to strategically plan for the future needs of the ALS community.

"This new partnership with The ALS Association aligns with our vision and our community initiative, Clearview Cares,” said Ron Celaschi, President & CEO. “After we learned that every 90 minutes, not only is someone diagnosed with ALS, but someone also passes from ALS, we knew we needed to put our care into action for the ALS Community. Partnering with The ALS Association for the Clearview ALS Allies program just made sense.”

“Since our introduction to Clearview Federal Credit Union, our Chapter has been blown away by their immersive support of our ALS community. We are honored to have them join us in the fight to end ALS and build our army of ALS Allies,” said Amie Olson, Director of Development at The ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter.

Clearview will serve as the ALS Allies program sponsor and provide continuous support throughout the year with a presence at all ALS Association community events.

The ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter blog provides additional information and video explaining the importance of this program.

About ALS

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Eventually, people with ALS lose the ability to initiate and control muscle movement, which often leads to total paralysis and death within two to five years of diagnosis. For unknown reasons, veterans are more likely to develop ALS than the general population.
