Credit Union Shows Continued Support of Homeless Veterans

Hanscom AFB, Mass. For the second straight year, Hanscom FCU has�presented a $1,000 check to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans to support the Centers work.
What began less than three years ago with food donations has blossomed into an ideal charitable partnership, with the Centers work a perfect fit for Hanscom FCUs commitment to supporting military members and their families throughout and beyond their service years. "Were incredibly proud to serve military families as a large part of our member base. We think our responsibility to support them goes beyond the financial realm," said Hanscom FCU Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. "The New England Center for Homeless Veterans does incredibly important work with a veteran population that is overlooked by too many, and we plan on helping them for many years to come." Recognized as one of the most effective private veterans transition programs in the country, the NECHV helps men and women veterans who are dealing with all-too-common challenges like addiction, trauma, mental illness and unemployment. Hanscom Federal Credit Union, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., serves 51,020 members across the country and overseas through 16 branches, over 100,000 service centers and surcharge-free ATMs, 24-hour telephone service and a web-based branch.
