Credit Union Donates $5,000 to Lions Club

graftonGRAFTON, MA -�As a community-centric financial institution, Grafton Suburban Credit Union (GSCU) is committed to its members and its community. Recently, GSCU donated $5,000 to the Grafton Lions Club to help support its numerous local projects and events in the upcoming year. GSCU donates approximately $40,000 annually to help strengthen nonprofit organizations within the Grafton area community. The Grafton Lions Club donation is one of several donations the credit union has made to area nonprofits this summer. "We are truly grateful to Lloyd Hamm, Jr. and the Board of Directors and the entire team at GSCU for this significant level of financial support for our club," said Grafton Lions Club President John Riemer. "We have aggressive plans to support local families, organizations and charities in the coming year and we will put this to good use." The Grafton Lions Club was recently acknowledged by the Massachusetts Lions District 33-A for its annual donations to charities and local events that topped $23,000 for the 2012-2013 fiscal year. "The Grafton Lions Club does more than any area service organization to benefit the local community and we know that the money will be used wisely," said Lloyd Hamm, Jr., GSCUs President and CEO. "Its our continual belief that supporting our areas nonprofits will help to make our community a better place.
