Black Hills FCU Supports to Tough Enough to Wear Pink

Rapid City, S.D. - Black Hills Federal Credit Union (BHFCU) is proud to once again take part in the Tough Enough to Wear Pink project with a donation of $1,500, benefiting the Monument Health Cancer Care Institute in Rapid City.
As a part of their Community Action Team (CAT) program, BHFCU participates annually in the effort to raise money for cancer care and research. This year’s $1,500 donation was comprised of t-shirt sales and funds from an employee Jeans Day. BHFCU staff wore their Tough Enough to Wear Pink t-shirts in a show of support for the cause.
“Each year, I am blown away by the support of our staff who are Tough Enough to Wear Pink,” said Dawn Erk, Personal Financial Associate. “This fundraiser is about supporting a cause that affects far too many in our communities, whether you have a direct connection to the disease or not.”
BHFCU’s mission of improving lives is achieved by living out this principle and offering ways for employees to support their community. Run internally by staff members; the CAT program was developed in 1996 to provide staff the opportunity to fundraise for and provide resources to causes near to their hearts.
BHFCU supports community needs through corporate contributions, employee fundraisers and Jeans Day donations, and contributions from members, staff, and community supporters to the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
