TFCU Donates $90,000 to Local School Districts
February 16, 2022
El Paso, TX –The TFCU High School Spirit Debit Card (HSSDC) program reached a total of $90,000 in donations made to 38 local high schools across ten districts from Region 19. Since the program’s launch in October 2019, TFCU has dedicated itself to supporting El Paso High School clubs, organizations, and sports teams by donating $0.05 for every non-PIN transaction made with a High School Spirit Debit Card. In addition to this, TFCU will be matching all donated funds made within the first three years of the program.
TFCU is excitingly looking forward to surpassing $100,000 in donations as they enter into the third year of matching funds. “We are extremely pleased with the success that the TFCU High School Spirit Debit Card program has had in the first two years,” shares VP of Marketing, Alex Yu. “Being able to donate over $90,000 to all of the local area high schools will have a major impact on student’s success in our community. We invite the El Paso community to continue supporting this program. Everyone needs a debit card, why not have the one that gives back to the youth at our local area High Schools?”
As COVID-19 continues to impact schools across the country, booster clubs and other parent-teacher organizations had to pause their fundraising efforts and reevaluate their strategies. The TFCU High School Spirit Debit Card is an excellent way for anyone in the community to actively give back and help raise funds for the school of their choice without having to pay out-of-pocket or make any changes to their budgets. The HSSDC program is exclusive to TFCU members with a $5 fee for the card of their choice. To learn more about TFCU’s HSSDC program, visit https://www.tfcu.coop/products-services/spirit-debit-cards
