Wichita, KS, January 7, 2022 -- Skyward Credit Union is pleased to provide a donation of $3625 to The Lord's Diner in Wichita, KS, through its Holiday Giveback promotion in December. This donation will help assist in providing meals to the underprivileged and funding for support staff.

The Lord's Diner exists to combat hunger in the community. The Diner's singular mission is to serve a nutritious meal with dignity and respect to anyone who is hungry.

Created in 2000 by Bishop Eugene J. Gerber, today The Lord’s Diner operates seven days a week, 365 days a year, including all holidays. Bishop Gerber desired that “No one goes to bed hungry.” Not only are meals offered at dining centers, it also continues to grow with community outreach programs that include local food trucks, planted gardens and a recently announced food pantry. Services are currently offered in Wichita and Pittsburgh, KS.

Skyward is proud to support the Lord's Diner and its mission to conquer hunger in our community.

Founded in 1941, Skyward Credit Union serves the employees and retirees of Textron Aviation, their family members, former employees and retirees of Cessna Aircraft Company and Beechcraft Corporation, along with and various aviation support subsidiaries and members of the Kansas Aviation Museum. Skyward has over $410 million in assets, serving over 17,500 members, with locations in Wichita, Kansas and Independence, Kansas.
