georgia unitedDUBLIN, GA - Georgia United Credit Union enjoyed celebrating the completion of their recent Dublin branch remodel and building expansion project with a Renovation Celebration on Tuesday, August 13, complete with VISA gift card drawings and donations to several community partners , including:

  • $500 to VAs "Veterans Welcome Home" Project
  • $500 to Laurens County Schools "Back to School" Teachers Event
  • $500 to Dublin City Schools "Back to School" Teachers Event
Georgia Uniteds Dublin Branch Manager, Katie Andrews, shared, "The 2,500 square foot expansion project took longer than anticipated because the Credit Union chose to remain open during the renovations so that members still had access to all our great products and services. The project included more than just a "face lift" and landscaping as every part of the former building was rebuilt and upgraded by Pro Construction of Macon. Our local branch now has six member services offices, expanded lobby and teller areas, and drive through lanes. The former ATM was upgraded and the parking area was extended." The current 2006 Veterans Boulevard branch location was originally built in 1996 and growth necessitated the expansion. Georgia United Credit Union is the not-for-profit financial cooperative that serves all residents of Laurens County and all major employers including the Laurens County Board of Education, Dublin City Schools and the VA Medical Center. About Georgia United Credit Union Georgia United Credit Union is ranked as one of the top credit unions in Georgia with over $950 million in assets and sixteen branch locations. Their mission is to save members time and money with their personal finances. Georgia United Credit Union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) up to $250,000 per account.
