Chattanooga, TN - 1 in 20 children loses a parent before turning 16. Inheritance of Hope was created to inspire hope in young families facing the loss of a parent. The goal is to provide them with a legacy building experience they will remember forever. The 501(c)(3) charity was founded by Kristen and Deric Milligan following several years of coping with the challenges of raising three young children while battling Kristen’s terminal liver cancer diagnosis.

Sadly, Kristen lost her courageous bout with cancer in 2012, but her legacy lives on as Inheritance of Hope uniquely serves families like her own from more than 47 states with resources and relationships for the particular challenges they face.

Credit unions and the companies they work with from Tennessee and beyond are coming together to raise funds to host a retreat for 30 families in 2022 in Tennessee.

Our goal is to raise $195,000 to host a retreat in Tennessee in 2022 for 30 families facing the loss of a parent to a terminal illness.
