MAX Credit Union Announces $115,000 in Donations on Giving Tuesday
November 30, 2021
MONTGOMERY, AL (November 30, 2021) – MAX Credit Union has announced plans to donate more than $115,000 to 23 local organizations on Giving Tuesday. Organizations selected focus on food and housing insecurities, education and arts, child advocacy groups, and animal shelters.
Community outreach is vital to organizations doing good work for citizens in our area, and MAX Credit Union supports those efforts by giving back throughout the year in the form of monetary donations, service hours, and non-profit board leadership. Throughout 2021, MAX donated over $200,000 in community giving. MAX employees work every day to give back to local communities and its members, but on Giving Tuesday we recognize the opportunity to make twice the impact based on the generosity of those matching donations.
“With lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, many non-profits have worried about funding and the ability to operate effectively,” said Martin Head, MAX CEO. “On behalf of the membership, employees, and Board of Directors, we want communities to know, MAX is here and continues to support those making an impact. We encourage others in the community to do the same.”
