TFCU Awards $12,000 in Scholarships
November 29, 2021
El Paso, TX – TFCU’s philosophy of “People Helping People” can be found at the core of everything they do. As a credit union that holds education as one of their highest values, TFCU understands that attaining a higher education often comes with a financial burden that is faced by students and their families. That is why, TFCU is pleased to announce the twelve recipients of their 2021 Scholarship Program.
In order to apply, scholarship applicants must be a TFCU account holder, a graduating high school senior, and enrolled in an accredited university, or accepted as a full-time student at a college or university. Each applicant submitted a 500 word essay that explained why they deserved the scholarship and what it would mean to them if they were selected. Out of the many applications received, 12 were selected to be awarded $1,000. This year the highest scoring applicant was given an additional $1,000 for The Charles Hart Memorial Scholarship, in honor of TFCU’s late Board of Director, Mr. Charles Hart.
TFCU congratulates each of the scholarship recipients listed below and hopes their award will help propel each of them to continue their efforts of achieving their educational goals. To learn more about each individual’s achievements and dreams, please visit 2021 TFCU Scholarship Winners
