Credit Union Donates Over 8,000 School Supplies to Local Schools

georgia unitedATHENS, GA - Thanks to the generosity of Georgia United Credit Unions members in Athens, 950 school supplies were donated to Gaines Elementary and Alps Road Elementary.

This was a part of the Credit Unions second School Supply Drive with Star 94 Radio to benefit local Title 1 schools near their 16 branch locations across the state.� A grand total of 8,251 items were collected from all branches with Georgia Uniteds 190 Gaines School Road Branch donating 535 items to Gaines Elementary and Georgia Uniteds UGA Branch at 1710 S. Lumpkin Street donating 415 items to Alps Road Elementary.�
