August 19, 2013
GENESEE COUNTY, MI Thirteen mid-Michigan credit unions including eight in Genesee County joined forces with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to raise more than $21,000 and collect enough food to supply more than 126,800 meals for people in the 22 counties which the Food Bank serves.
The cause was the 4th Annual Caring Community Credit Unions Campaign, which ran throughout the month of June at several credit unions in the Food Bank of Eastern Michigans 22-county service area.
