Teachers FCU Helps Raise $35,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness

As we round out October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Teachers Federal Credit Union is helping get closer to the cure through in branch donations and being a flagship sponsor of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
Teachers committed $15,000 to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk held on October 17th at Jones Beach State Park, and gathered with 150 employee walkers to raise a total of $35,000. Throughout the remainder of October, you can still go into any Teachers location and donate money for a pink ribbon, with all donations going to cancer research.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer has united communities in the fight against this deadly disease and funded breakthrough research, 24/7 support for breast cancer patients and access to lifesaving screenings for more than two decades, and Teachers is proud to help their continuous journey.
