Santa Rosa, CA – Redwood Credit Union (RCU) is distributing $495,000 in grants to support the lifesaving and life changing services of 29 nonprofit organizations in Lake, Napa, and San Francisco counties.

The grants will help address the most pressing needs of vulnerable populations throughout the regions, including food, housing, health, financial wellness, and workforce development.

“The San FranciscoMarin Food Bank is grateful for the support of generous donors like Redwood Credit Union,” said Tanis Crosby, executive director of the San FranciscoMarin Food Bank. “We continue to see a huge need for food assistance in our community, and support like this helps to fund services like neighborhood food pantries and home delivered groceries which ensure families have access to the fresh, healthy food they need.”

RCU invests in its communities by contributing time, energy, money, and leadership to support nonprofit organizations and groups offering meaningful assistance to improve their communities.

“Providing community support is what RCU is all about and the pandemic’s impact has underscored the need to assist even more,” said Brett Martinez, president and CEO of Redwood Credit Union. “We’re pleased to be able to support our nonprofit partners so they can keep providing vital services to help our communities succeed.”
