Credit Unions Come Together to Help Local Schools

Rapid City, SD - In the true spirit of "People Helping People" two credit unions in Rapid City have joined with Black Hills Federal Credit Union to collect school supplies for students in need.� Rushmore Electric FCU and Dacotah FCU are holding collection drives to help Black Hills FCU collect supplies for over 5,000 students in nearly 60 schools throughout the Black Hills.
Black Hills FCU started the School Supply Drive 17 years ago and with help from their members, local businesses and lots of friends, has grown the Drive to serve 12 communities in western South Dakota.
Dacotah FCU & Rushmore Electric FCU will be two important bus stops today, Friday, August 16, when Black Hills FCU staff travel around Rapid City on a school bus to pick up supplies and monetary donations.� Last year the Drive provided over 75,000 supplies for local students and organizers hope to collect even more this year.
