Capital CU Sponsors African Penguin Exhibit at Dakota Zoo!

Bismarck, ND - Everyone knows that Dakota credit unions and kids LOVE penguins!  That is why Capital Credit Union is the proud sponsor of the all-new African Penguin Exhibit at the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck.  The grand exhibit officially opened to the public on Tuesday, Sept. 21 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  As exhibit sponsor, staff from Capital CU handed out free ice cream sandwiches, as well as some cool swag items from the Pee Wee and Friends® Young Savers Club®program.  The first 125 kids at the exhibit received Pee Wee drawstring backpacks and other Pee Wee branded promotional items. 

For now, the exhibit consists of six male penguins, and the zoo expects to add females at some point in the future.  The Dakota Zoo has expanded "penguin hours" through October on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.  Local KFYR TV covered the grand opening, click here to see the footage.
