Quantum CU Donates $5,000 for Financial Need Scholarships
September 29, 2021
Wichita, KS – Quantum Credit Union partnered with First Tee Greater Wichita with a donation of $5,000 in memory of Paul Pattrick to offer scholarships for those with financial needs.
Paul was a long term volunteer of the credit union and was currently serving as our Board Chairman we he unexpectedly passed away in November of 2020. He was a dedicated volunteer who was a true advocate for the credit union and the principles that our industry was built on, people helping people. Outside of volunteering Paul spent countless hours on the golf course. He enjoyed the game, but foremost was the epitome of character and displayed the values that the game of golf can provide individuals.
This partnership provided an avenue to allow an opportunity for underprivileged kids to attend the First Tee of Greater Wichita program, and gain a piece of what Paul stood for as an individual and the values that are entwined in the First Tee values – Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgement. First Tee integrates the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, they create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence and resilience that kids carry in everything they do.
