Credit Union Awards $13,000 in Scholarships

FAIRHAVEN, MA First Citizens Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the recipients of its 21st Annual Academic Scholarship Program. A $1,000 scholarship was awarded to thirteen local high school students from its branch communities across the Southcoast and Cape Cod.
Each scholarship is awarded to deserving students every year who demonstrated a high level of academic excellence, leadership, and service to their community. In addition to the ten general scholarships, one scholarship, in honor of Barbara Whitehead Silva, former President and CEO of the credit union, is awarded. �The remaining two scholarships are the Champion Family Scholarship. The Champion Account is designed to recognize teachers, EMT, police, firefighters and healthcare professionals for their outstanding service to our communities. The two scholarships are awarded exclusively to the immediate family of these members.�
