(WICHITA, KS.)   Credit Union of America’s fifteenth annual golf tournament benefitting the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) at Ascension Via Christi was held on June 10, 2021, at Crestview Country Club.  CUA’s tournament is a joint effort between the Credit Union and the Wichita Open, an awarding winning stop on the Korn Ferry PGA Tour, and the first official event of the Wichita Open each year.  The 2021 tournament raised $62,520 that will directly benefit sick and injured children in Kansas.  Since the tournament’s inception, CUA and the Wichita Open have raised $653,860 to benefit CMNH families.

The donation was presented to David Alexander, Ascension Via Christi Foundation President, at the September Wichita Open Ambassadors’ Breakfast on September 15, 2021.

Nate Reisig, CUA’s Event Director says, “The Wichita Open is the perfect partner and that’s evident as each year the tournament raises more funds than the previous year.  The pre-Wichita Open course and the attention to detail keep golfers and corporate sponsors alike, returning year after year. They enjoy a little golf while raising funds for Kansas children facing illness and disabilities.”

Elaina Omar and her mother, Emily, joined the golfers and shared their story of how CMNH helps them.  “The CMNH families make a huge impact on all of us at the tournament. It’s a reminder of why we’re there – to help Kansas children.” Reisig added.
