Suncoast Credit Union Celebrating 75 Branches with $75,000 in 75 Days Charitable Giving
September 16, 2021
TAMPA, FL (September 15, 2021) — Suncoast Credit Union, in celebration of its 75th branch opening, at the Fruitville Service Center in Sarasota, will donate $75,000 to local non-profits across its service area through its $75k in 75 days Charitable Giving Celebration. The donations will begin October 1, 2021 and continue through the end of the year.
Each of Suncoast’s 75 branches will select a local charity within their community to receive $1,000, with Suncoast giving away a total of $75,000 to the communities it serves. Supporting local communities is a cornerstone of Suncoast and allows local autonomy to fund the highest and best needs.
“What better way to celebrate our 75th service center than by giving back directly to the communities that support us through their membership and have allowed us to become Florida’s largest credit union. Especially during these difficult times, as we experience a collective pandemic, we strongly believe these donations will go a very long way in helping support valuable charitable work across the state.” said Kevin Johnson, President and CEO, Suncoast Credit Union. “We are grateful to be in a position where we can share with others, thanks to the support of our more than 974,000 members, allowing us to celebrate the addition of our new Fruitville branch, across all 40 counties that we serve, in a meaningful way.”
The new Fruitville Service Center is located at 5851 Fruitville Road in Sarasota. This is the credit union’s 4th branch in Sarasota County, and 75th in the organization.
To celebrate the branch opening, Suncoast is offering new account incentives throughout the month of September, including a tiered format of a $25, $50, or $75 deposit, dependent on the number of new accounts opened. New members will be entered into a raffle to win a $500 gift card.
The new Suncoast branch offers a spacious and modern floor plan, bilingual team members, a coin machine, and two Interactive Teller Machines — which allow members to complete transactions by interacting with Suncoast tellers through two-way video chat.
The Fruitville Service Center is open Mon. – Thu. 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Both Interactive Teller Machines offer extended hours: Mon. – Fri. 7 a.m. to 8 p.m and Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
