Rapid City, SD - August 16, 2021 - OneHeart: A Place for Hope & Healing is pleased to announce that Black Hills Federal Credit Union (BHFCU) is joining the movement to move people out of poverty and into a better quality of life with a pledge of $100,000 to the transformation campus.

“Partnerships are key to the success of OneHeart,” Executive Director Charity Doyle said. “While we count on our provider partners to assist us in providing wrap-around services to our guests, we count on our community partners to assist us in many other ways – keeping the doors open, the lights on, and allowing us to offer numerous residential services, to name a few. We are incredibly grateful to Black Hills Federal Credit Union for their generosity and, most of all, for believing in OneHeart’s mission.”

With the $100,000 commitment, Black Hills Federal Credit Union joins OneHeart’s “Give Hope Honor Roll” at the Founder level.

“Black Hills Federal Credit Union is proud to support the important work of OneHeart,” Jerry Schmidt, BHFCU President and CEO, said. “OneHeart’s purpose aligns directly with BHFCU’s mission, ‘We Improve Lives.’ Their team and Board of Directors devoted their time and expertise to determine exactly what is needed to make a long-term, positive impact in our community. We look forward to a continued partnership with them.”

OneHeart’s mission is to create pathways out of poverty for those desiring to thrive. The four-acre transformation campus near the heart of Rapid City provides transitional housing and co-locates a variety of support services in one place to more efficiently, effectively, and collaboratively help those who are housing insecure move out of poverty and into permanent housing and a better life. To enroll, interested individuals and families must be referred to OneHeart by a member of our Provider Partner Network. OneHeart welcomed the first enrollees, whom we refer to as “guests,” in January 2021.
