LANSING, Mich. — CASE Credit Union is hosting two back-to-school backpack events in August in coordination with Capital Area Housing Partnership, Capital Area Community Services and Head Start.

“Being prepared on the first day of school sets the tone for the whole year,” said Jeffrey Benson, president and CEO of CASE Credit Union. “Unfortunately, purchasing back-to-school supplies can be financially challenging. Our goal is to give families one less thing to worry about when getting their children ready for that first day.”

The first backpack event will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon at its West Saginaw branch parking lot, 5611 W. Saginaw Highway, with a rain date on Saturday, Aug. 21. The second event will be held Saturday, Aug. 14, from 9-11 a.m. at its Pennsylvania branch parking lot, 4316 S. Pennsylvania Ave., with a rain date on Saturday, Aug. 28.

The back-to-school backpack events are open to members of CASE Credit Union and are offered while supplies last.
