Indianapolis, IN - Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), was awarded $5,000 for the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana from the Indiana Service Challenge.
Over 194 Hoosier businesses and organizations participated in the challenge by selecting a charity to serve in their community as part of the annual Indiana Service Challenge. Companies With A Mission (CWAM), the organization behind the Indiana Service Challenge, awarded the prize money to multiple 501(c)(3) charities throughout Indiana.
Indiana Members Foundation received the award based on their service to the Ronald McDonald House. Each month, IMCU provides and serves hot lunches to the families of children staying at Riley Hospital for Children IU Health. IMCU employees participate by delivering and personally serving the lunches to the families.
The Ronald McDonald House will use the $5,000 to support the cost of a guest room at the hospital for one year through the Share-A-Night program. This program helps the Ronald McDonald House bridge the gap between the actual cost to provide lodging to each family and the amount they can contribute toward their stay.
Ron Collier, President and CEO of IMCU, said, "We are thrilled to receive this award forthe Ronald McDonald House and are humbled by the service they provide. IMCU is dedicated to serving our community and supporting charity organizations like the Ronald McDonald House. We look forward to continuing to build our relationship with them."
