New England FCU Makes Donations to Four Local Organizations
July 29, 2021
NEFCU Williston, VT— Giving back to the communities it serves has long been central to New England Federal Credit Union’s (NEFCU) mission. As an ongoing part of this effort, four times each year, NEFCU selects four recipient organizations at random to receive $625 each, for a total of $10,000 annually. NEFCU’s community giving donations for the second quarter of 2021 were:
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Burlington—to provide financial support for the organization’s general fund. Now in its 36th year of operation, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Burlington creates a community to provide home, hope, and refuge when children and their families need it most.
Vermont Works for Women—to support the Employment & Career Services program. VWFW had its origins in 1985 as the first Step Up program in Vermont. Today, the organization helps women and girls recognize their potential to explore and excel in work leading to economic independence.
Special Olympics Vermont—to support the general fund. First incorporated in 1971, Special Olympics Vermont works year-round to help people with intellectual disabilities use the power of sport to showcase their gifts and abilities.
Vermont Cooperative for Practice Improvement and Innovation—funding for the “Mental Health 101” Program. Founded in 2013, VCPI is a statewide cooperative including member organizations that work to improve practices and develop workforces in the Vermont system of mental health care.
