Credit Union is Official Sponsor of St. Louis Rams and Supports Military Families

scottEDWARDSVILLE, IL Scott Credit Union is now the Official Credit Union of the St. Louis Rams. Representative from Scott Credit Union and the St. Louis Rams completed the agreement recently to allow the local credit union to sponsor St. Louis NFL Franchise for the next three years. "What an exciting partnership for Scott Credit Union," said SCU President & CEO Frank Padak. "We are very proud to partner with the Rams. What an honor for us to be able to tie our organization to a professional sports franchise that has fans on both sides of the river." Scott Credit Unions agreement with the Rams includes both television and radio commercials during Rams programming as well as signage in the Edward Jones Dome on game days and combined community events. "For the second consecutive year, the Rams will take a team practice to Scott Air Force Base," Padak noted. "They invite all of the military families out to watch, and even participate in, the practice. As the presenting sponsor, we are very excited about this community event. Supporting our communities is very important at Scott Credit Union. This is a great way for us to give back to the community at Scott Air Force Base." During the event at Scott Air Force Base, Scott Credit Union and the Rams will give 200 tickets to military families to attend the teams military appreciation game versus the Tennessee Titans on November 3. "What a great thank you to the military families for their service to our country," Padak said. "It is our pleasure to provide the opportunity for them to take a break and attend a Rams home game." Scott Credit Union also will partner with the Rams "Street Team" for several other community events over the next three years. "What a tremendous added value to the events that we are involved in throughout the communities in the area," Padak said. Scott Credit Union also has plans to offer a St. Louis Rams version of its debit card and Rams checks with its checking account. "We are working on the details of offering the Rams debit card and checks. We will also be having promotions that will offer free tickets to Rams games," Padak added. "Everyone will want to keep an eye out for the promotions." Scott Credit Union also will have presence on the St. Louis Rams web site and during pre-game tailgating events before Rams home games. "Scott Credit Union and the St. Louis Rams seem to be a great fit," Padak added. "When I first met Frank, it was clear Scott Credit Union and the Rams are aligned in values. People who live or work in St. Louis County can now join Scott Credit Union and take advantage of the value that the credit union offers as a not-for-profit cooperative. "With St. Louis County being part of our field of membership, we are confident that this partnership with the Rams will help us continue to grow," Padak added. As a not-for-profit cooperative, Scott Credit Union returns its profits to members in dividends while helping them avoid fees and get better rates. The credit union also uses its earnings to provide expanded services and convenient branches and ATMs to its members. At the end of 2012, Scott Credit Union issued a bonus dividend and a loan interest rebate for the year exceeding $1.2 million. That money was directly deposited into Scott Credit Union members accounts. Scott Credit Union has made giving back to its communities a major priority. The local credit union contributed about $275,000 and its employees volunteered more than 2,300 hours to a variety of local civic efforts throughout the region in 2012.
