DuPage CU's Drop & Donate Event Raises Over $7,100 for Local Students in Need

NAPERVILLE – July 13, 2021–DuPage Credit Union would like to thank everyone who generously donated to its June18th Drive, Drop & Donate event fundraiser. During its eighth-annual shred and electronic recycling event, the Credit Union raised $7,100 which will be used to purchase backpacks & school supply kits for DuPage County students in need.
“We’re grateful for the continued outpouring of generosity by our members and the community,” said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions at DuPage Credit Union. “Through their kindness we are able to help alleviate the cost of returning to school for hundreds of families in need; and ensure local children start the year with the tools necessary to flourish in the classroom.”
“I’d also like to thank our team members that volunteered their time to help make the event a huge success,” she added.
The school supplies will be distributed to students attending Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet’s Annual Back-to-School Fair on August 4th at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, which benefits DuPage County students in need through the DuPage Regional Office of Education.
To date, the Credit Union has exceeded its 2021 goal of $10,000 and has raised $14,285 for its We’ve Got Your Back fundraising campaign, of which Drive, Drop & Donate is a major source of raising funds.
