STRATFORD, CT – (June 8, 2021) Sikorsky Credit Union donated string backpacks to the Sterling House Community Center for their summer camp program.

For the last eight years, Sikorsky Credit Union has donated 250 string backpacks to children that participate in the summer camp programs at Sterling House Community Center.  The Sterling House has been serving the Stratford community since 1932 and is known for their athletic program, food pantry, preschool and summer camp program.

Amanda Meeson, Executive Director of Sterling House was very grateful for this donation and replied, “Thank you to Sikorsky Credit Union for another year of outfitting our campers with hundreds of drawstrings bags!  Even through the pandemic, SCU has continued to support our programs and our community.” 

Kenneth Ferrari, SVP/Chief Experience Officer of Sikorsky Credit Union, added, “We are happy to partner with Sterling House and provide the campers a string backpack to use throughout the summer months.”
