EarthMover Credit Union Awards $4,000 in Scholarships

(Oswego, IL – 06/03/2021) – Earthmover Credit Union (ECU) recently awarded four Teen Investment Program college scholarships totaling $4000 to four local high school students.  The tiered scholarships (1st Place: $2000, 2nd Place: $1000, 3rd Place: $500, and a 4th Place: $500) were awarded to these four students.  The winners were based on outstanding academics, extracurricular involvement, and an essay about how the COVID-19 pandemic affected their life.

This year’s winners are:

• 1st Place: Carlos Rios, Aurora, IL: University of Illinois, Chicago: Civil Engineering

• 2nd Place: Gabriella Spizzirri, Sugar Grove, IL: University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign: Economics

• 3rd Place: Sophia Andrade, Plano, IL: University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign: History

• 4th Place: Emerson Kincaid, Oswego, IL: University of Alabama: Mechanical Engineering
