Mountain America CU Donates $10,000 to NeighborWorks Boise
June 4, 2021
Mountain America Credit Union is proud to announce its support of NeighborWorks® Boise’s 39th annual Paint the Town™ as a Platinum sponsor. On May 17, 2021, Mountain America presented a $10,000 check to NeighborWorks Boise to support this year’s event. Paint the Town organizes teams who help disabled, elderly and veteran neighbors that need a fresh coat of paint on their homes. This year, 25 homes have been selected across the Treasure Valley.
Bud Compher, chief executive officer at NeighborWorks Boise, says, “community revitalization does not happen without partners like Mountain America Credit Union and support from kindhearted neighbors. We love being able to continue helping as many families as we can. Our end goal is to provide safe, stable and affordable housing in the Treasure Valley. Paint the Town helps deserving neighbors stay in their homes and brings together the community for an important cause.”
NeighborWorks Boise will host an official kickoff party for volunteers to pick up supplies on Saturday, June 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at NeighborWorks Boise’s headquarters, located at 3380 W. Americana Terrace, Ste 120. The official paint day is Saturday, June 12, when teams of volunteers will be painting the homes of low-income members of the community.
“Community events like Paint the Town help make the Treasure Valley an even more amazing place to live,” says Amy Moser, chief lending officer at Mountain America. “We are proud to support NeighborWorks Boise and want to thank all the volunteers giving their time and energy to put a fresh coat of paint on the homes of neighbors in need.”
Since its inception in 1982, more than 3,000 homes have been revitalized through Paint the Town.
