Saint Paul, Minnesota – To help the community safely and securely shred their sensitive documents, City & County Credit Union hosted a Shred Day event at the Maplewood and Minnetonka Branch on Saturday, May 22, 2021. In exchange for free secure shredding, members were encouraged to donate non-perishable food and personal hygiene items for two local food pantries in our community.

409 members attended the Shred Day event to securely shred their sensitive documents. In addition, City & County Credit Union was proudly able to donate in total over 3,000 pounds of food to the ICA Food Shelf in Minnetonka and the Maplewood Salvation Army Lakewood Food Shelf with help from the generous donations from members and the community.

“If this past year has taught us anything, it’s that we are stronger together as a community,” said Megan Primeau, VP of Marketing. “We are absolutely overwhelmed and beyond grateful for the generosity from our members and community. In true cooperative spirit, it’s when we come together as one that we can make an impact and empower our community to do more.”
