Bowater Credit Union Recognizes Volunteer for 34 Years of Service

CALHOUN – Troy Giles, Sr. of Athens, Tennessee was honored for 34 years of service at Bowater Credit Union’s 67th Annual Meeting, held on Monday, May 24th at the Calhoun Meadowlands Park.

Nearly 200 member-owners were in attendance on Monday night to hear from the volunteer Board of Directors, including the retiring Giles.  “Troy Giles Sr. has given 34 years of exceptional volunteer service,” said Board Chairman David Lattimore.  “During his tenure members have entrusted to him the burden of leadership with the utmost confidence in his honesty and ability.”

In addition to honoring Giles, those in attendance enjoyed fellowship, refreshments, and received gifts and door prizes.  The Board reviewed the credit union financials, noting that assets grew 19% and membership grew 4%.  David thanked all members for their continued loyalty and support of their credit union.
