May 11, 2021
BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA—Pelican State Credit Union concluded its “40 Ways to Save” animated video series, as the final episode was recently uploaded on the credit union’s social media platforms. Pelican aims to make financial content that is fun and easily accessible for everyone. Through this video series, the credit union was able to reach new audiences across Louisiana, teaching them ways to keep more money in their pockets!
The credit union used hand-cut paper and drawings to create stop-motion animation videos that easily explain these budgeting tips.
Since its release, the 40 Ways to Save animated video series has amassed over 157,000 views across both Facebook and YouTube. Based on the credit union’s immensely popular “40 Ways to Save When You’re Terrible at Saving” free eBook, the series teaches viewers how to save money on things like:
• Food
• Utilities
• Everyday purchases
• And more!
The motivation behind creating the 40 Ways to Save video series derived from the success the credit union saw with its similarly titled eBook. Pelican determined that a way to take that success to a new level was to provide its subscribers with the same helpful money-saving content and deliver it in a unique style that was fun to watch.
