Hanscom AFB, MA (May 10, 2020) – Hanscom Federal Credit Union recently presented a check for $1,500 to On-Site Academy on behalf of the Armed Forces Financial Network (AFFN). This grant matches the Board Memorial Award of $1,500 given to On-Site Academy at the end of 2020 by Hanscom FCU.

On-Site Academy provides specialized therapeutic services for returning veterans, police, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, paramedics and others experiencing the effects of traumatic incidents in the line of duty. Their facility in Westminster, Massachusetts, provides a tranquil environment for combat veterans and first responders to heal from the toll that witnessing the worst can take on them.

“We were proud to present On-Site Academy with our Board Memorial Award this winter, and we’re glad to see AFFN recognize On-Site’s impact on our community by matching that donation,” said Ray Phillips, Hanscom FCU’s chairman of the board. “This will allow for even more veterans and first responders to get the support they need for such a physically and mentally demanding role. We hope that with this they might get a sense of how much we appreciate all that they’ve sacrificed for us.”
