PORTSMOUTH Service Credit Union and the American Heart Association teamed up to provide free CPR training to more than 25 employees and members recently at the credit unions Corporate Offices at 3003 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, N.H.
Portsmouth Fire Department Captain Richard Murphy was on hand to provide simple instructions on lifesaving techniques for emergency cardiovascular care.
Kits were handed out for the training and each person in attendance was encouraged to pass the kit including the instructional video along to at least five other people, totaling a possible 100 people learning CPR from just that initial training.
Service Credit Union Vice President of Marketing Karen Benedetti welcomed the group, while Service Credit Union Chief Financial Officer Scott Wensley talked about his personal experience with heart disease.
