May 3, 2021
Waltham, MA – RTN Federal Credit Union and RTN GoodWorks Foundation co-sponsored a virtual “A Beginner’s Guide to Building Wealth” financial education seminar on April 29, presented by partner American Consumer Credit Counseling, Inc.
Seventeen people attended the seminar, which introduced financial concepts. Topics included how to manage money you earn, how to plan for future earnings and how to think about future debt. RTN partnered with several school and community organizations to promote the seminar including Waltham High School, Waltham Partnership for Youth, Waltham Boys and Girls Club, and Tewksbury Community Service Police Department.
“The material covered in RTN’s seminar is information every high school student should gain exposure to, and it was refreshing to see each topic broken down for teenage learning,” comments Michael Wilder, Business Teacher, Waltham High School. “We are happy to partner with RTN Federal Credit Union to bring financial literacy to our students.”
