Georgia United Credit Union Receives International Recognition for Acts of Service

DULUTH, GA (April 14, 2021) – Georgia United Credit Union has received the 2021 Communitas Award for Excellence and Leadership in Community Service for their “See the Difference, Be the Difference” Team Day service project.

Communitas is a Latin word that means “people coming together for the good of a community” or simply, “people helping people.” Communitas winners are recognized for specific programs involving volunteerism, philanthropy and ethical, sustainable business practices. The credit union’s team members worked with their colleagues in their branch or department to “Be the Difference” by participating in  a service project that positively impacts local communities. This project allowed team members to serve 28 nonprofits throughout Georgia.
