San Diego County CU Sponsors Local Spelling Bee

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (March 16, 2021) -- San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, returns as the presenting sponsor of The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee, presented in collaboration with the San Diego County Office of Education. This year’s event will be broadcast Wednesday, March 24 at 3 p.m. on iTV Cable 16.

The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in a public or private school with a combined enrollment of 30 or more children. The overall winner of the countywide Spelling Bee will be awarded the title of Spelling Bee Champion and will compete in the 2021 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
