Harrisburg, PA (March 2, 2021) – PSECU, Pennsylvania’s anytime, anywhere digital credit union, will again offer a free, educational Auto Buying Webinar to help prepare consumers for their next vehicle purchase. Open to members and non-members alike, the event will take place on March 9 from 12-1 p.m. Click here to register.

“For those who missed our first Auto Buying Webinar last December, please consider joining us for this second offering,” said PSECU President and CEO George Rudolph. “As one of the state’s largest auto lenders, we know the importance of reliable transportation and understand the auto buying process. As a trusted financial partner for our members and the communities we serve, we want to share with you the information you need to make good financial decisions when purchasing a vehicle.”

The credit union’s one-hour Auto Buying Webinar will cover the following topics and will conclude with an interactive question-and-answer period:

  • Tips for buying a new or used vehicle

  • Financial considerations of auto buying

  • Differences between buying and leasing

  • What to expect when shopping for a vehicle online

“For some people, the process of purchasing a car - finding the right vehicle, haggling for the best price, and driving away in a new ride – is thrilling, but for others it can be unpleasant and stressful,” said PSECU Financial Education Analyst Lisa Kennedy, who will co-present the webinar with representatives from the credit union’s Business Development and Credit Services areas. “We encourage anyone who wants to learn more about the ins and outs of auto buying to join us!”

Opened in 1934, PSECU was founded by 22 ordinary people who pooled $90 and made an extraordinary commitment to each other: To create a financial institution where collective resources benefit all members. Today, PSECU continues that legacy as Pennsylvania’s largest credit union, with $7.5 billion in assets, more than 475,000 members, and a convenient anytime, anywhere digital-first banking model. PSECU was named a 2020 Best-In-State Credit Union by Forbes Magazine. For more information about PSECU, visit psecu.com. View its Year In Review to learn how PSECU contributes to the greater good.
