New Haven, CT - January 29, 2021 - As part of its annual ConnexCares Holiday Drive, Connex Credit Union partnered with Christian Community Action throughout December to collect money and household items for homeless families moving into recently renovated apartments at the Hillside Family Shelter in New Haven. In total, Connex staff and members contributed $1,500 and more than 240 household items and toys.

“Stocking a home with basic essentials is often one of the biggest expenses and most difficult tasks for those transitioning out of homelessness,” said Carl Casper, executive vice president and chief executive officer, Connex Credit Union. “It truly warms my heart to see that, despite 2020 being an extremely difficult year for everyone, our staff and members still banded together to help those who need it most.”
