Mountain America CU Surprises Kindergarteners with New Pair of Shoes
December 23, 2020
For the second year, Mountain America Credit Union and the Davis Education's "The Elves and the Shoemaker" event surprised kindergarteners at South Clearfield Elementary with a new pair of shoes.
As the reading of "The Elves and the Shoemaker" ended, sleigh bells sounded off into the distance and students ran to the library to find little elves had left freshly wrapped presents. As each student unwrapped their gift, they found a brand new pair of shoes in just their size!
"Mountain America is pleased to partner with Davis Education Foundation on gifting new shoes to kindergarteners at South Clearfield Elementary this holiday season," says Spencer Carver, assistant vice president of select employer group at Mountain America Credit Union. "It's incredible to see the smiles on the kids' faces when they open their new pair of shoes and the self-esteem and confidence boost that follows."
Mountain America has been a long-standing partner of Davis Education Foundation, donating $25 to the foundation for each new qualifying account. In addition to funding the Elves and the Shoemaker event, Mountain America's donations to the Davis Education Foundation help support students' needs throughout the Davis County School District.
