Billings, MT–December 14, 2020Valley Credit Union (Valley) recently hosted their fourth annual holiday toy drive benefiting the US Marine Corps Reserve’s annual Toys for Tots program. Each year the program distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy gifts.

Through the credit union’s efforts and support from the community, they were able to surpass Valley’s initial goal of $1,000 worth of toys. In addition to a $1,000 donation made by the credit union, over $2,800 was donated by the community assisting in the purchasing of additional gifts bringing this year’s toy donation total to more than 650 toys.

“This program is one we look forward to hosting each year, and following the tumultuous year we have all experienced, the need for our support was greater than ever before,” Joe Olivo, Vice President of Member Experience at Valley Credit Union. “With the overwhelming engagement from the community, we were able to surpass expectations and offer relief to more families in need, ensuring each child has a gift this season. It is always our desire to give back to the communities that do so much for us, and we look forward to acting as a consistent support for years to come.”
