Hanscom AFB, MA (Dec. 11, 2020) – Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation has donated $125,000 to Home Base, an organization that provides clinical care to veterans, service members and their families. Earlier this fall, the Foundation also made a $25,000 gift to Home Base to sponsor the annual Run to Home Base event, bringing the Foundation’s total support of the organization to $150,000 this year. This is the second year of the Foundation’s non-binding commitment to donate $750,000 over five years to Home Base.

“We’re proud to be able to support this crucial organization,” said the Foundation’s chairman of the board, Paul Marotta. “The mission of Home Base is so critically important, and we understand that they need every dollar they can possibly get to help support service members who need their care. We hope that this year’s donations can help change lives through their work.”

The mission of Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Program, is to heal the invisible wounds for veterans, service members and their families through world-class clinical care, wellness, education, and research.
