kernKern Schools Federal Credit Union recently applied their philosophy of "People Helping People," by assisting credit union employees victimized by the devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma. The destructive tornadoes affected many credit union employees. To assist with the damages, Kern Schools team members quickly gathered donations through a "Jeans Day" fundraiser for the Oklahoma Credit Union Foundation Tornado Disaster Relief Fund. Headed by Mark Manns, Director of Human Resources, the fundraiser collected $1,631. "To be able to assist others during a time of personal need is a great accomplishment by our team," said Manns. "We may have a few states in between us, but we are all one credit union family." Kern Schools Federal Credit Union was founded in 1938. Residents of Kern County are eligible for membership and its many benefits. For more information, visit www.ksfcu.org.
