1st United Credit Union Thanks Community for Their Generosity in Food Drive
December 3, 2020
PLEASANTON (December 3, 2020): 1st United Credit Union is overjoyed by the generosity shown during this year’s online food drive. Our members, staff, and community donated over $12,000. 1st United matched contributions and, in all, donated a combined total of $25,000 to the Alameda County Community Food Bank this year.
In an effort to keep everyone safe, 1st United moved their food drive online rather than collecting food in their branches. The added benefit to this is that every dollar collected equates to $7 of healthy food due to the Food Bank’s bulk purchasing power. This can help a greater number of Alameda County residents than physical food donations.
1st United wishes to thank all who contributed. As a not-for-profit financial institution, we want to continue to be a good neighbor by giving back. By uniting with our membership and community, we have been able to make an even greater difference!
