Harrisburg, PA (December 3, 2020) – PSECU, Pennsylvania’s anytime, anywhere digital credit union, will offer a free, educational Auto Buying Webinar on December 9 to help prepare consumers for their next vehicle purchase. Open to members and non-members alike, the event will take place from 12-1 p.m. Participant registration is required by 5 p.m. on December 8.

“While a lot of things have changed this year, the need for reliable transportation has not. As one of the state’s largest auto lenders, we’ve seen this demand continue, and we understand the auto buying process,” said PSECU President and CEO George Rudolph. “As a trusted financial partner for our members and the communities we serve, we want to make sure that we provide information necessary to support good financial decisions when making a vehicle purchase.”

The credit union’s one-hour Auto Buying Webinar will cover the following topics and will conclude with an interactive question-and-answer period:

  • Tips for buying a new or used vehicle

  • Financial considerations of auto buying

  • Differences between buying and leasing

  • What to expect when shopping for a vehicle online

“For some people, the process of purchasing a car - finding the right vehicle, haggling for the best price, and driving away in a new ride – is thrilling, but for others it can be unpleasant and stressful,” said PSECU Financial Education Analyst Lisa Kennedy, who will co-present the webinar. “We encourage anyone who wants to learn more about the ins and outs of auto buying to join us!”

Opened in 1934, PSECU was founded by 22 ordinary people who pooled $90 and made an extraordinary commitment to each other: To create a financial institution where collective resources benefit all members. Today, PSECU continues that legacy as Pennsylvania’s largest credit union, managing $7 billion in assets and offering its more than 475,000 members convenient anytime, anywhere digital banking options. PSECU was named a 2020 Best-In-State Credit Union by Forbes Magazine and a Best Credit Union of 2020 by GOBankingRates. For more information about PSECU, visit psecu.com.
