First Community Donates $6,000 to Humane Society on Giving Tuesday
December 3, 2020
Chesterfield, MO (12/2/20) – First Community raised $6,000 for the Humane Society of Missouri. During the week of Thanksgiving, their employees could donate $20 to wear jeans for the whole week. They also set up donation boxes at each of their 44 locations where members could participate in helping raise money for the organization. First Community also made their annual employee pet calendar available to take home as a ‘thank you’ for donating.
On Giving Tuesday, the Humane Society had a generous donor who quadrupled donations they received that day. They raised a total of $65,800 for animals in need. When you support HSMO, you provide second chances to thousands of pets each year.
First Community picks a local organization each month that their employees can donate to and in exchange can wear jeans to work. During these unprecedented times, it has become even more important to support organizations and small businesses in the area.
